Everest solidarity

We want to awaken in each student a heart open to the needs of others, ready to commit themselves to a better world.

All this through participation in projects that make them experience that “there is more joy in giving than in receiving”, with the aim that this commitment accompanies them during their education at school, and in the future, forms part of their lives.

“Everest Solidario” was born as an initiative of the families of Everest School seeking to help disadvantaged people and at the same time raise awareness throughout the educational community about the importance of an open heart, of a warm welcome that helps, accompanies and supports those who need it most.

The main areas of action are:

-Twinning with the Mano Amiga “Hermano Pedro” School in Guatemala: this programme consists of proposing and carrying out all kinds of activities throughout the school year, with the ultimate aim of opening the students and the whole school community to the reality of the world, fostering in them a spirit of solidarity. Thus, we provide the school with scholarships for underprivileged children in Guatemala. In this way, they will be able to access education and cover their basic food and medical-health needs.

-Solidarity events: these are events coordinated and organised by mothers and fathers of the school who voluntarily dedicate their time with the aim of raising funds. The proceeds from these events go mainly to the Mano Amiga school in Guatemala and to different solidarity projects in Spain, proposed by the families and management of the school and the Everest Solidario team.

In addition, the students get closer to the realities that surround us through a Social Project carried out throughout the year and differentiated thematically by year group:

  • POVERTY
  • CHILDHOOD
  • PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DISABILITY
  • DEFENCE OF LIFE
