“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn”. (Benjamin Franklin)
We accompany our pupils in their personal growth and try to achieve the best version of each one, while preparing them for a successful move up to Lower Secondary.
Primary is the stage that takes places from 6 to 12 years of age, in which we seek the integral development of our pupils through a personalised approach to all areas (ver cuadro). During this stage:
- They achieve excellent academic results.
- They develop fundamental study and work habits for learning.
- They gain socio-emotional skills, problem-solving skills and critical thought.
Our team of highly dedicated teachers with a great vocation, extensive experience and a firm commitment all work enthusiastically and professionally on active methods that position the pupil at the centre of all activity and as the driving force behind their learning.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
Personalisation and development of talent
Based on guidance from tutors, teachers and our psycho-pedagogical guidance team, we adapt the resources needed by each pupil (based on their interests and needs, while also considering different learning paces) so that their learning can be successful and thereby build strong motivation.
Critical thought
To stimulate interest, motivation and a curiosity to learn, we work with thought strategies every day (routines – thought and reflection – and skills – critical and creative thought) that encourage the development of effective and visible thought in our pupils.
This intellectual challenge requires a set of skills to be used in order to know how to analyse, reflect, compare, discern, explain, decide on information and be capable of making one’s own decisions.
By practising these skills frequently and flexibly, they eventually become a natural way of thinking and produce pupils who are more reflexive and metacognitive.
Scientific and mathematical learning
Our pupils learn mathematics applied to real situations through deductive and creative thought.
Science is an important part of our curriculum, which is why we encourage the development of the innate curiosity we all have to learn and understand, as well as a natural interest in discovering objects and the world around us.
We therefore foster:
- Experimentation in the classroom to understand and access scientific knowledge
- Scientific and creative stimulation workshops to work on different scientific skills
- The development of deductive thought
Art and culture
Through inter-disciplinary projects, we include cultural and artistic content that allows our pupils to express themselves and boost their creativity.
We organise artistic appreciation workshops at the school and museum visits in partnership with external specialists to enrich curricular learning.
Technology project
We are a benchmark school and we therefore incorporate technology into the academic training of our pupils. We do this gradually, progressively and in a manner adapted to the specific circumstances because we understand that technology offers the necessary enhancements to their intellectual relationship with the world and because it helps our pupils to develop critical and creative thought, communicate fluently and expressively, tackle life with maturity and participate responsibly in society.
Tablet-assisted Learning Project – 5th and 6th Year Primary
The way this project is organised seeks the following goals:
- To enhance several of the skills to be developed through our educational project, such as creativity, cooperation, a curiosity to investigate and learning independence.
- To develop the right skills mentioned above by using the devices, such as digital skills for the safe use of technology at work, for pleasure and for communication.
- Learning personalisation: this allows for different learning paces and styles, as well as the creation of different learning environments.
- To allow our pupils to discover the three most common ecosystems in the market during their time at school (Google, Apple and Microsoft).
We work in perfect harmony with analogue (text books and exercise books) and digital (devices) media. We believe that alternating between the two is the perfect combination for the educational development of our pupils.
PERSONAL GUIDANCE
Tutorial Action Plan
Alongside the guidance department, our tutors develop a programme that is focused on accompanying the pupil, guiding them on their learning journey and supporting their integral development.
Botín Foundation Responsible Education Programme
We have implemented a programme that fosters physical, emotional, intellectual and social growth by our pupils and encourages communication and better social harmony at schools based on work with teachers, pupils and families.
Christian life and Spiritual accompaniment
We live the following of Christ with joy, passionately seeking the Truth and goodness, and accompanying them in Christian life. Besides our religion classes and other pastoral activities, we have a chaplain and consecrated staff for this stage.
Parenting school
At the school, we also want to offer a training space for parents; a meeting place for group reflection on the education work you undertake with your children.
INTERNATIONALISATION
International formation
Internationalisation is embraced in all aspects of the training provided at our school. Our pupils learn to think, communicate and work in two languages – Spanish and English – within a framework of international education guaranteed by the Cambridge University and with teachers who specialise in bilingual and international education.
Language teaching
We are an official Cambridge examination centre, and we prepare our pupils for the B1 exam (PET).
Academic training in the English language
Besides formal English language teaching, a part of our curriculum is also taught in this language. The subjects of: English, Natural Science and Music from the globally standardised Cambridge International Primary programme.
International experiences at the centre
We strive to provide our pupils with enriching opportunities to work and speak in English that are developed beyond the standard curriculum for the subject and enable them to develop a natural use of their second language:
- Theatre and Drama
- Spelling Bee
- Story Telling
- Projects
- Workshop Recitals
- Poetry Recitals
- Public Speaking…

INTEGRAL PUPIL DEVELOPMENT
Virtues Programme
We form the willpower and emotions of our pupils through the acquisition of virtues, which we work on via formative campaigns and activities in the classroom that are adapted to each year group.
We focus on a series of virtues that we consider essential to their development, dedicating each term to two of them in particular: order, friendship, respect, generosity, effort, obedience, strength, responsibility, gratitude, sincerity, happiness and humility.
Education for love
Through the “Let’s Learn to Love” content and methodology, we educate our pupils in that which lies at the heart of our condition as people: our ability to love.
Along a gradual path that is adapted to each age group, we accompany them on the discovery of true value and meaning in their body, affection and sexuality.
Social Action Campaigns
We seek to produce an effect in the world around us that is reflected in a change of attitude towards a cause or improved social development, thereby forming pupils who are committed to the transformation of society.
Sport
Through sport, our pupils discover themselves, learn to overcome challenges, develop willpower, character and psychomotor, affective, social and intellectual skills. Besides our Physical Education classes, pupils take part in other sports programmes and activities, such as:
- School gymkhana
- Padel, football, basketball and volleyball tournaments
- Athletics competitions
- Everest Cross
- Friendship Tournament
- Education for health and sport
